Training
The TSE training sessions cater for a wide range of abilities and ages, regardless of whether you are just looking to swim, cycle or run to to combine these into multi-sport formats.The training sessions are available for Club members. Guests are welcome to attend the sessions subject to Guest fees.
Formal sessions are led by the Club’s British Triathlon Federation qualified coaches and are structured so that participants are able to work at their own level of ability. For those unable to attend our sessions then please speak to our coaches who will be happy to help guide you towards you goals.

Coach Profiles
Simon Theobald
Coaching Co-ordinator – Level 2 BTF Coach and qualified swimming teacher. Previous experience coaching county and national standard junior swimmers as assistant coach of Brentwood Swimming Club. With his swimming background, Simon is a ‘technical’ coach who works with all abilities to improve technique, but also values regular hard training to improve fitness and to progress.
Chris Farrimond
Chris is a level 1 coach and currently has responsibility for organising the Junior Aquathlon and Junior Triathlon. Chris can regularly be found coaching X-Country with Gizmo, his loyal Labrador, at Thorndon Park or open water swimming in the summer.
Kevin Partridge
British Triathlon Level 2 Coach, Kevin’s aim is to help individuals and groups, whether at beginner, GB age group or elite levels, to achieve their goals.
